Everyday: The First 5000 Days

Beeple’s one of the most expensive NFTs is called Everydays: the First 5000 Days, created in 2021. The work is a collage that consists of 5000 digital images. The NFT was sold for $63.300.000 by a Singapore programmer called MetaKovan.

Pak “Clock”

The Clock is the third most expensive NFT sold, created by Pak and Julian Assange. It counts the days that WikiLeaks founder Assange has been imprisoned. The NFT aimed to raise funds for Assange’s legal defense and was bought by AssangeDAO.

Beeple “Human One”

Human One by Beeple

Another expensive NFT, again, belongs to Beeple. Human one is a 3D video sculpture combining physical and digital technologies. It presents a waking person dressed in a silver-colored space hamlet. The NFT was created and sold in 2021 for $28.985.000.

CryptoPunk

CryptoPunk #5822 – Among the whole CryptoPunks collection, CryptoPunk #5822 is the most expensive one, sold for $23 700 000 in 2022. The owner of the NFT is the CEO of a blockchain company.

CryptoPunk #7523 – CryptoPunk #7523 was sold in 2021 for $11.750.000. This is a bluish-green-skinned character with a knitted cap and earrings. It is the only character in the whole collection who wears a mask.

CryptoPunk #4156 – CryptoPunk #4156 is the third most expensive NFT sold so far and was sold for $.350.000 in 2021. The NFT is unique as it is one of the 24 CryptoPunk’s monkeys wearing a blue bandana.

CryptoPunk # 7804 – CryptoPunk # 7804 presents a punk who smokes a pipe and wears a beret and sunglasses. All these characteristics make CryptoPunk # 7804 unique and rare. The NFT was sold for $7 560 000 by Dylan Field, the CEO of the Figma software company.

Crossroad

Crossroad is Beeple’s third most expensive NFT, sold for $6.600 000. The cartoonish artistic NFT highlights negative messages to Donald Trump. The original artwork was designed to change depending on the outcome of the US presidential election. If Donald Trump had won the election, the final facet of the work would have featured Donald Trump wearing a crown on his head and going through flames.

Ocean Front

Ocean Front, created by Beeple, is the tenth most expensive NFT sold. The artwork portrays the climate changes that the world is facing. The tree, mushrooms, and oily ocean scene present the disastrous situation in the world, somehow caused by climate change. The NFT artwork was sold for $6.000.000, and the owner is the founder of Tron Foundation, Justin Sun. The profit was denoted to Open Earth Foundation, a non-profit organization that fights against global warming and climate change.

CryptoPunks are a collection of 24×24 pixelated punky-looking 10,000 images. The collection was launched in 2017 by Larva Labs and acquired by Yuga Labs in 2022. It gained popularity with the Ethereum blockchain and became the first NFT project to show digital ownership potential. Many celebrities such as Jay-Z, Snoop Dog, Serena Williams, Steve Aoki, Logan Paul, Gary Vee, and Odell Beckham Jr. paid millions to join the NFT community. Even Visa Inc. purchased a CryptoPunk for the collection.

OpenSea evaluates the total collection amount as 1,065,767 ETH, which is about $1,204,679,070 billion.

Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC)

Cool Cats were launched in 2021 and consist of 9,999 randomly generated NFTs on Ethereum. Like Bored Ape Yacht Club, the cats also have unique outfits and characteristics, and ownership of a cat allows getting into special real-world events. Many celebrities become owners of one of the NFTs in the collection. Mike Tyson changed his Twitter account picture and even tried to buy Andrew Wang’s Cool Cat for thousands of dollars. Now OpenSea estimates the total volume of the project as 114.872 ETH, equal to $132408359.

CyberKongz

CyberKongz Project was launched in 2021 and gained popularity, attracting investors because of how it looked on social media platforms.  The total collection value is 27.634 ETH, which is about $32.068.566.

Mutant Ape Yacht Club

MAYC started as a member-exclusive airdrop for BAYC holders; however, when the holders exposed MAYC a mutant version of Ape was created. Initially, it consisted of 10,000 mutant apes, but an additional 10,000 were realized a little after via a Dutch auction. The MAYC project has become a separate blue-chip NFT gaining a total volume is 465,968 EHT, about $537.102,674 at the time of writing, and is not showing any sign of slowing down in price.

Moonbirds

Moonbirds is a collection of 10,000 pixelated owls NFTs launched in 2022 by the Proof community. Moonbirds reached over 66,000 ETH ($191 million) in secondary trading volume less than 48 hours after launch. On Opensea total volume of the NFT, the project is 175055 EHT (about $203146951).

Azuki

Azuki is the first anime-styled NFT collection of 10,000 characters. The project was launched in 2022, and as it was the first of its kind, the collection was quickly sold out. Azuki NFT project coasted over 30 ETH in the following months. However, it dropped its price overnight by 50%, reaching 13.ETH (around USD 270,000). The total collection volume is 268,712, which is about $309.733.573.

Doodles

Doodles is a collection of 10,000 colorful line-drawn characters launched in 2021. With their launch Doodles have become one of the most influential and sought projects. They were priced at 24EHT but had slightly come down, reaching 20 ETH (over USD 40,000). Currently, Doodles’ total value in OpenSea is 151.982 ETH (about $176.371.311)

CloneX

Clone X is a collection of 20,000 realistic anime-like avatars. The project was launched in 2021 and was almost immediately sold out after the auction. On the Opensea blockchain Total volume of the collection is 240095 ETH equals $290.319.184
