A Full List of the Best Horror Video Games Ever
Superhero video games genre is one of the most popular and demanded genre. The best superhero video games of all time are ones that stand out against the competition. From beginning to end, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in this list that I made.
Table of Contents
Dead Pool
It’s rare to find genuine laughter at games’ attempts at comedy, which makes High Moon Studios’ Deadpool a true gem. In this brutal third-person action-adventure, you play as a mercenary with a mouth, taking on hordes of expendable, flesh-filled enemies in a bloody action-adventure that never misses an opportunity to crack a joke.
That’s a good thing, too, since while the battle system becomes boring by the end, the superb narrative and funny comedy more than make up for it. From beginning to end, Deadpool’s fourth-wall-breaking meta antics are amusing. Who doesn’t want to slap an unconscious Wolverine for three minutes?

DC Universe Online
On paper, an MMO based on the DC Universe isn’t a wise idea. If they’re all superheroes, what makes them special? However, six years after its initial release, DC Universe Online is still growing stronger on PC and next-generation platforms, having successfully moved from PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013.
Based on the characteristics of DC heroes, players may construct their own superhero. Before stepping into the open world to start the fight against the eternal end of the world, you must first meet a large number of canonical characters.
Above all, Daybreak Game Company has dedicated themselves to continue developing and extending DC Universe Online with new content, updates, repairs, and prizes.
In 2017, it’s starting to show its age, but as a free-to-play MMO with a deep understanding and love for its source material, DC Universe Online is difficult to replace.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Not only is it far superior to the film on which it is based, but it may also be one of the finest movie-based games ever made. The first mature take on Logan outside of the comics, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an R-rated movie that doesn’t shy away from Logan’s ability to kill his enemies.
The furious gameplay is disguised in simplicity, not to mention cruelty during brilliantly designed boss fights, so the game was more than just gore and guts. Hugh Jackman lends his slightly raw tones to the process, and the well-told narrative contains complete voice acting for practically the whole cast of the picture. Unfortunately, the infamous portrayal of Deadpool in the movie also appears in the game, so it’s not that simple.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Activision carved out a place for itself in the early 2000s by developing dungeon crawlers based on comic book heroes. After more and more successful adventures such as X-Men: Legends and the first Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, the series reached its four-top loot team with Ultimate Alliance 2.
In many aspects, Ultimate Alliance 2 changed its predecessor’s formula practically in many ways, but the incremental changes have lifted it to the franchise’s pinnacle. It contains a large cast of characters from throughout the Marvel Universe, some of the greatest visuals in the series, and builds on the heroes’ “Civil War” storyline, making it more engaging than you may anticipate. She has her faults, but if all you’re looking for is running through the hallways of a dungeon and punching Magneto in the face, you’ve found your game.

Wonderful 101
Platinum Games has a superhero running in their veins. Although Bayonetta and Transformers Devastation lack capes and kryptonite, they demonstrate Platinum’s understanding of the massive explosions, eye-catching graphics, and joyful emotions that make superheroes so popular.
You lead a team of 100 superheroes in Wonderful 101 as they face a strong alien power that is attempting to take over the earth. You fight battles that look and feel bigger than life in platinum form, but there’s a big reveal: the mass of superheroes you control combine to produce massive weaponry that you wield in combat, making you feel just as big and powerful.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes
Lego games have proven that practically everything is better in brick form, from Star Wars to The Lord of the Rings. This trend continues with Lego Marvel Super Heroes, which brings the easy-to-understand adventure gameplay and light-hearted comedy that Lego games have been renowned for to the Marvel Universe. Where else might Dr. Will Doom’s world-destroying invention be known as the Doom Beam?
To have fun here, all you need to do is play Spider-Man as he partners up with Black Widow to take out Venom and create ridiculous puns, and Lego Marvel doesn’t make the mashups too difficult.
However, although being funny in its own right, it keeps loyal to the Marvel Universe by having each character feel important to the group and providing them with meaningful roles. For players looking for a challenge or a serious story, it doesn’t have much to offer, but it’s pure and simply fun, and that’s about it.

The Amazing Spider-Man
In 2012, a trilogy of action games based on the adventures of Spider-Man were released on PC and consoles, along with the reboot of the MCU dedicated to the iconic character. Players received good graphics for the time, an open environment, and a plot, the most of which was adopted directly from the film “The Amazing Spider-Man.”
The game is, without a doubt, fantastic. A flurry of criticism fell upon her for crooked controls, weak enemy AI, monotonous levels and repetitive tasks. Despite this, The Amazing Spider-Man may possibly be the most successful series of all the Spider-Man projects now accessible on PC.
Important gameplay aspects like the battle system and movement throughout the city, which are both impressive and well-organized. The environment’s interactivity is particularly appealing: despite being in the minority, Spider-Man is not afraid to throw garbage cans and soda machines at enemies, hide behind ledges, and hang on ceiling beams.

The Incredible Hulk
The Hulk is one of Marvel’s most colorful and powerful characters, and in 2008, he was made the hero of a computer game of the same name. The Incredible Hulk, like The Amazing Spider-Man, is based more on the film The Incredible Hulk, which was released the same year. Simultaneously, he significantly develops the plot of the original source, including several additional events and characters.
The Incredible Hulk is a beat ’em up featuring a lot of environmental destruction in terms of gameplay. In fact, the whole of New York is the arena for the battle , where the Hulk spectacularly cracks down on thousands of various enemies, including giant bosses.
At the same time, he not only works with his fists, but also does his renowned gigantic jumps, throws automobiles, and creates massive pillars from the earth, which he then uses as a club. The Incredible Hulk gets additional superpowers as you progress through the game, which are activated by the accumulated rage.

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series
A fun journey with the Guardians of the Galaxy, based on the comic book series rather than the movie. Nonetheless, the comedy and ridiculous sequences did not suffer as a result of this. The heroes must travel to different planets, including Earth, to meet Thanos and Hela, which will undoubtedly lead to amusing situations.

Batman: Arkham
The adventure game series, which began in 2009 with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum, has grown into one of the finest superhero franchises of all time.
Each game in the series offers players a unique experience. Arkham Asylum is a Metroidvania game with a distinct comic book style. Arkham City is a game with a big open world and one of the most memorable storylines in gaming comics. Arkham Origins covers the story of the Dark Knight’s early years and introduces his main enemy in a unique way. Finally, Arkham Knight provides players with a variety of unique superhero devices as well as a Batmobile that plays a key role in the game.

Injustice
NetherRealm Studios (creators of Mortal Kombat) has released a series of amazing fighting games in which the protagonists are all characters from well-known superhero comics. Furthermore, each of the heroes and villains (and there are a lot of them) has a distinct, easily recognized appearance, voice, attitude, and, most importantly, distinctive strikes and abilities.
They also have access to a huge wardrobe of products and accessories that alter the game’s aesthetic by improving specific attributes.
The most crucial aspect of Injustice is its simple-to-learn, yet extremely detailed fighting system, which results in stunning and dynamic fights. Not only will playing Injustice 1 and 2 appeal to lovers of superhero comics, but it will also appeal to fans of video games.

Megaton Rainfall
The computer game, released without too much noise, is almost unnoticeable to most fans of the superhero stuff, which, however, did not prevent it from joining the top projects about superheroes on the PC (it received 75 points out of 100 on Metacritic and Steam and a huge number of positive reviews, and such an indicator for an indie toy can definitely be considered a success).
The main character in Megaton Rainfall is a nameless hero, bestowed with powerful abilities to match the Man of Steel (or maybe worse), and many of them open gradually as the plot develops (he is also here). The key feature, the ability to fly, served as the game’s defining theme.Almost all of the time, the hero is hovering above the earth, and on rare occasions, he even flies out of the atmosphere to fight with enemies who have already entered the universe.
Enemies are enormous robotic alien invaders who come in a variety of shapes and sizes, each with their own destructive skills. They also attack in waves, with each wave becoming more complicated and unexpected.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole
The second series of the hilarious role-playing games based on the iconic adult cartoon series South Park, which suddenly altered the subject, aiming a stream of sarcasm and outright banter at today’s popular superhero films. The game, like before, manages to mix a funny narrative and atmosphere familiar to any cartoon lover with excellent gameplay and a well-developed role-playing system.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole offers a large character editor that lets you customize the hero’s appearance, gender, and class. By the way, the final two elements have an influence not only on the gameplay but also on the story development.
Players can choose from up to ten different classes of superhero characters, each with their unique set of superpowers, in the basic setup. Owners of the DLC get access to two new classes. In addition, there are several cosmetic items, artifacts, and weapons in the game. All of these may be found when exploring South Park or as a prize for completing missions.
